1. Jersey- Before ‘Sunny,’ Shahid will be seen in ‘Jersey’, which is slated to release on the last week of December 2021. The actor will be seen in a cricketer avatar in Jersey. The film, remake of a 2019 Telugu film by the same name. The sports film co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur tells the tale of a talented but failed cricketer, who rises from ashes for his son, who wishes for a Jersey.
2. RRR- Helmed by SS Rajamouli, RRR will feature Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in the lead. The magnum opus will mark Ajay and Alia’s first collaboration with the ace filmmaker.
3. Vikram Vedha Hindi- The Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha features Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles with Radhika Madan playing a crucial part. Vikram Vedha tells the story of a rugged cop who hunts down a rowdy gangster. As of now, Vikram Vedha is set to release on September 30 this year.
4. Maidaan- Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited biopic based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim is another film that fans cannot wait for in 2022. The film has gone through many hurdles in the process of being shot but now, the shoot is in full swing. Fans can expect to see Superstar Ajay Devgn in a never-seen-before avatar as he aces the role of the man who set the foundation for football in India in a film backed by Boney Kapoor.
5. Yodha-This upcoming action thriller, directed by Sagar Ambre, stars Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The movie is currently scheduled to be released on November 11th.
6. Bhediya- Directed by Amar Kaushik, this upcoming comedy horror movie features Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Flora Saini reprising their roles from movies Roohi and Stree, this movie will release worldwide on November 25th.
7. Shehzada- Featuring Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan, and Manisha Koirala, this upcoming action-drama is directed by Rohit Dhawan and is scheduled to be released on November 4th.
8. Brahmāstra- Directed by Ayan Mukerji, this upcoming superhero movie features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The first movie of the planned trilogy will be released on September 9th.
9. Govinda Naam Mera- Starring Kiara Advani, Bhumi Pednekar, and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles, this upcoming comedy-drama is directed by Shashank Khaitan. The movie is all set to release on June 10th.
10. Jug Jugg Jeeyo- Directed by Raj Mehta, this upcoming comedy-drama stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles along with Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul. The movie is all set to release on June 24th.
11. Bachchan Pandey- Starring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, and Jacqueline Fernandez, this upcoming action-comedy has been directed by Farhad Samji and is slated to release on March 4th.
12. Anek- Featuring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role, this upcoming action thriller is directed by Anubhav Sinha and would release on March 31st.
13. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2- This supernatural horror movie serves as a sequel to Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). Directed by Anees Bazmee, the upcoming movie features Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The movie is all set to release on March 25th.
14. Radhe Shyam- Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, this upcoming period sci-fi romantic drama features Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The movie is currently scheduled to release on January 14th.
15. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect- This upcoming biographical drama is based on Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO who was accused of espionage. The movie is written, produced, and directed by R Madhavan, who is also playing the lead role in the movie. The movie is slated to release on April 1st.
16. Shamshera- This upcoming period action drama, directed by Karan Malhotra, features Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. After being delayed for release because of the deadly pandemic, the movie is now scheduled to release on March 18th.
17. Dhaakad- Directed by Razneesh Ghai, this upcoming action thriller features Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles along with Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. The movie is all set to release on April 8th.
18. Mission Majnu- This spy thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles. Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, the movie is scheduled to be released on May 13th.

25. Prithviraj- This upcoming historical epic action drama, starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar in prominent roles, is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The movie is currently slated to release on January 21st.
26. Ganpath Part 1- Ganapath Part-1 is an upcoming action movie that stars Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. The duo has reunited for the first time after their debut movie, Heropanti (2014). The film is currently under the direction of Vikas Bahl. The producers of the movie include Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Vikas Bahl.
27. Pippa-War film Pippa starring Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyuli will release in cinemas on 9 December 2022. The film has been co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur and directed by Raja Krishna Menon, best known for Akshay Kumar’s Airlift.
28. The Kashmir Files- The Kashmir Files upcoming Bollywood Movie – The Kashmir Files is an upcoming Hindi-language film will release theatrically worldwide on 26 January 2022, coinciding with India’s Republic Day. The film is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri starring Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and Anupam Kher. The film tells the story of Exodus of Kashmiri Hindus.
29. Jayesh Bhai Jordar- Ranveer Singh speaking about his character in the film, praised his director saying, “Jayeshbhai presented an exciting challenge – to deconstruct myself in order to transform into a kind of character I’ve never inhabited before. Divyang has poured his soul into this brilliant piece of writing that will nudge you to introspect whilst making you smile and laugh the entire time”.
30. Liger- The release date of the highly anticipated sports drama Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in lead roles is out. The Karan Johar-bankrolled movie will release on August 25 next year.
Producer Karan Johar made the announcement Thursday morning with a tweet that read, “THE ACTION, THE THRILL & THE MADNESS – it’s going to be a total knockout! #Liger arrives in theatres worldwide on 25th August 2022.
31. KGF 2- K.G.F: Chapter 2 is an upcoming period drama action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. The second installment of the two-part series, it is a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj.
32. Pushpa 2- Pushpa: The Rise’ was a hit among the general audience and it still creates a buzz. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the movie still became a blockbuster hit. And now, fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel of the film. The film’s director, Sukumar, has announced that the second part will go on floors soon and hit the theatres. When the first part of the movie was released, it received a global welcome in theatres and OTT platforms. Fans are already looking ahead to the sequel movie Pushpa: The Rule.
33. Heropanti 2- Heropanti 2 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic action film and a sequel to the 2014 film Heropanti. The film is directed by Ahmed Khan, written by Rajat Arora, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It stars Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Tara Sutaria
34. Runway 34- Runway 34 is a drama thriller film directed and produced by Ajay Devgn. The film stars Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan Rakul Preet Singh, Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh. It is scheduled to be theatrically released on 29 April 2022.
35. Salaar- Salaar is an upcoming action thriller film written and directed by Prashanth Neel, starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films.
36. Attack– John Abraham will be seen playing a soldier with superhuman ability character in Attack; character on the lines of Hollywood’s Deadpool and G.I. Joe.
37. Tiger3 – Yash Raj Films’ Tiger 3 is the next chapter in the spy action-thriller franchise, which will see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprise their roles as agents Tiger and Zoya. The film will also star Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist.
38. Pathan- Pathan is an upcoming 2022 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Siddharth Anand. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan and John Abraham. It marks Khan’s comeback after a 4-year sabbatical from acting after the failure of the 2018 film Zero.
39. Satya Narayan ki Katha– Kartik Aaryan added one more film to his already busy roster – the actor has been roped in from the lead role in a musical love story titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha. The film will be produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, which has partnered with Namah Pictures for the project. Sharing the first glimpse of the movie – just a teaser of sorts – Kartik Aaryan wrote: “A story close to my heart, Satyanarayan Ki Katha. A special film with special people.” Satyanarayan Ki Katha will be directed by National Award-winning director Sameer Vidwans, best known for helming the critically acclaimed 2019 Marathi film Anandi Gopal. The film will mark Sameer Vidwans’ debut Bollywood project.
40. Merry Christmas- Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s film has been titled Merry Christmas. The film is a thriller directed by Andhadhun fame Sriram Raghavan. It will go on floors in April and will be shot in Pune. An official announcement regarding the film’s title is still awaited.
41. Gorkha- Gorkha is an upcoming biographical film directed by Sanjay PS Chauhan and produced by Aanand L Rai. It stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film is being made under the banner of Colour Yellow Productions in collaboration with Cape of Good Films. It is based on the life of the iconic war hero of the Gorkha regiment of the Indian Army (5th Gorkha Rifles), Major General Ian Cardozo.
42. SUJOY GHOSH’S NEXT – Shahid Kapoor will also act in a Sujoy Ghosh directorial. Bulbbul star Tripti Dimri will be seen opposite the Kabir Singh star and the shooting is expected to kickstart soon. While makers haven’t revealed much about the project, it’s speculated to be a suspense action-thriller, given Ghosh’s area of expertise. This movie will bring Kapoor and the Kahaani director for the first time together.
43. Badhaai Do- Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, this upcoming family drama is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on February 4th.
44. Gangubai Kathiawadi- Loosely based on S Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens Of Mumbai, this upcoming biographical crime drama stars Alia Bhatt in the titular role. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie is scheduled for worldwide release in theatres on February 18th.
45. HIT: The First Case Remake- This upcoming mystery action-thriller, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is the official remake of the Telugu movie of the same title. Featuring Sanya Malhotra and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles, this movie will release on May 20th.

46. Phone Bhoot- Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, this upcoming horror-comedy features Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead roles. The movie is all set to release on July 15th.
47. Cirkus- This upcoming comedy movie, directed by Rohit Shetty, features Ranveer Singh in a double role. Adapted by the 1982 movie Angoor, the movie is scheduled for theatrical release on July 15th.
48.ALI ABBAS ZAFAR’S NEXT ACTION FILM – According to a print publication, it is heard that Shahid Kapoor will dive into the world of Ali Abbas Zafar’s next later this month. The film is said to be the official adaptation of the 2011 French film, Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night). The director has begun the pre-production for the yet-untitled movie that will see the actor play a cop who is chasing drug lords.
49. Laal Singh Chaddha- Adapted from the 1994 movie Forrest Gump, this upcoming comedy-drama features Aamir Khan as the titular character along with Kareena Kapoor Khan. After multiple delays due to the pandemic, the movie will now release on April 14th.
50. Jalsa-This upcoming movie, directed by Suresh Triveni, stars Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in pivotal roles. The movie is currently scheduled to be released in November.
