Shuddh Desi Romance was an upcoming romantic comedy film from the Yash Raj banner, directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film featured Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra, and newcomer Vaani Kapoor in leading roles.
The film was the second film of Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor made his Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che, which was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel Three Mistakes of My Life. The film was set to release on September 6, 2013.
