Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan & Sujoy Ghosh : Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan, were anticipated to share the screen in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming film. However, recent reports suggest that this collaboration is now on hold. The speculation of their joint project emerged even before Suhana’s debut film, “The Archies,” made its global release on Netflix on 22 November 2023. The film, directed by Zoya Akhtar, received mixed reviews and faced criticism upon its online debut in November last year.
Despite the initial excitement about the father-daughter duo teaming up for Sujoy Ghosh’s film, it appears that the project has been put on the backburner. While the specific reasons for this decision remain undisclosed, sources suggest that Shah Rukh Khan is reluctant to expose his daughter to potentially unfair comparisons with the superstar. The disappointment with “The Archies” may have contributed to the shift in plans.
A source close to the development shared with Times Now News, “I don’t think that project is happening, not after The Archies. Suhana needs to find a project as far removed from her father as possible. Earlier, SRK was tempted to get on camera with his daughter ASAP. Now, after The Archies, this historic togetherness is gone on the back burner.”

Previously named “King,” the film was supposed to commence filming in January 2024 and was described as a unique action thriller. Fans had been eagerly anticipating witnessing the on-screen dynamics between Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan, after achieving box office success with films like Siddharth Anand’s “Pathaan” and Atlee’s “Jawan,” is yet to announce his next project. His latest appearance was in Rajkumar Hirani’s “Dunki,” where he was paired opposite Taapsee Pannu, with Vicky Kaushal in a pivotal role.
Meanwhile, Suhana Khan, who faced criticism for her performance in “The Archies,” has not announced her next project as of now. The delay in the father-daughter collaboration with Sujoy Ghosh has left fans curious about their future on-screen venture together.
