“Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” directed by Om Raut is based on the life of the 17th century Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare. Tanhaji led an army that successfully captured the Kondhana fort from a Rajput fort keeper named Udaybhan Singh Rathore. The story is said to be fought during the night of February 4, 1670, the Battle of Sinhagad brought Tanaji, a warrior in Shivaji’s army against Rathore, who was working under the command of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Actor Ajay Devgn plays the film’s eponymous character and is also one of the film’s producers.
